Salinger uses his misfit character “Holden” to shed light on the truth to “life is a game”. Professors at “Holden’s” school use the phrase “life is a game” in a way that seems forceful as if they are trying to make him see life as a board where he, a tiny pawn, should follow the rules set in writing so that everyone can win.

If everyone in the world never died of age, would this be better for society? Disregard the logistics of a population in the trillions. Food for thought: Unlimited time to find a cure for everything or invent anything, your relatives, ambition, suicide, boredom. I am eager to hear any ideas.
Sitting in the drive through of my favorite smoothie shop with some friends and a car pulls up behind me listening to some new country music at full volume. One of my friends says “they need to turn that shit down. That music sucks!”. I respond with “but our music is pretty loud as well..” -them- ” yeah but our music is better.. Then I had a thought :do we have a right to tell someone to turn their music down?all music is good music.
